The Jim Wells County Sheriff's Department is debuting its "Top 10 Most Wanted" as a way to clear their warrant cases of more than 100 individuals.

"We are starting this program to kick off the state-wide warrant roundup, this is step one of our annual roundup," said Lt. Joe Martinez. "If they turn themselves in they can avoid embarrassment if we show up at their workplace and arrest them."

In the first round, eight Alice residents, one Orange Grove resident and an individual from Odem are profiled. The top list includes a warrant for a sexual assault with a child, an indecency with a child, possession of a controlled substance and a motion for enforcement of child support. The county has a total of 112 wanted individuals, officials said.

The individuals with warrants are a combination of misdemeanors and felonies, Martinez said.

"All of these (individuals) we've made an attempt to call or we went to their homes," Martinez said. "Some of them didn't show up to court and are wanted by the county." Those individuals wanted are:

Hector Anguiano Jr., 32, resides at 922 Hickey St. in Alice, wanted for possession of controlled substance-cocaine, bond set at $25,000.
