A 22-year-old man suspected of taking items from a home in the 500 block of East Hill Street was detained by homeowners and arrested Monday, police said.
Michael Hinojosa, 22, remained in jail Tuesday afternoon with a bond set at $5,000 by Precinct 6 Justice of Peace Jose Rodriguez.
According to the police report, Hinojosa was arrested Monday about 3:30 p.m. when homeowners arrived at their home in the 500 block of East Hill Street and noticed several men leaving the area, all dressed in black.

After inspecting the garage, the owners told police the suspects had taken several items including a chain saw and an air compressor, the report said.
The suspect has previous charges dating back to 2006 of burglary to a building, robbery of a grocery store, burglary of a vehicle and five criminal trespass charges, police said.
