At approximately 5 p.m. Jim Wells County Judge Juan Rodriguez confirmed Saturday that he was notified about two additional positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the county.

According to Judge Rodriguez, a female in her 50s and a male in his 30s tested positive for COVID-19.

The two individuals had been tested in recent days at the JWC mobile testing site, Rodriguez said.

At this time, there are eight total reported cases in JWC. Out of the eight reported cases there are five active cases and three recovered.

Judge Rodiguez said that the last three cases are still being investigated to determine if the case are travel-related or community spread.
