A line of vehicles formed Sunday and Monday at the Jim Wells Fairgrounds at the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Mobile Testing Site.

Officials said there was a total of 184 individuals tested in both days; on Sunday 85 individuals were tested and on Monday there were another 99 individuals tested for COVID-19.

According to officials, not everyone tested at the JWC site is a resident of the county. If there is a positive test only the county judge of the individual’s residence will be notified.

While there was only two days of testing in JWC, there will be another mobile testing site in Duval County. The testing site will be set up at the Freer Fire Department located at 1106 South Norton in Freer. It will be open from 9 a.m. till 5 p.m.

People who want to be tested must phone or go online and be screened ahead of time and they will be given an appointment time. When they arrive at the testing site individuals will be questioned.

The tests are done by the National Guard, along with the Texas Military Department, the Texas Department of Emergency Management, and several other state agencies.

All testing is free and photo identification was required.
