On Friday morning, Heather Jo Benavides went out to her Pediatrician office Dr. Patel, CVS and Walgreens Pharmaceuticals, Family Dollar, and RJ Meridian Care in Alice giving each of them donuts with a sweet gesture towards her community during the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

She went to every establishment with a dozen donuts and a special speech thanking them on behalf of her family and herself for all their hardworking hours and giving them appreciation to what they have been doing for the community that should never go unnoticed. Even through these hardship times she keeps up with her school work, helps out around the house, and goes out of her way with all her love and kindness for not just her family and friends but for her community as well.

She truly makes her parents very proud to see the fine young lady she’s becoming. Way to sparkle to the ones who shine bright in the community.

Benavides and the Pruneda family hopes that everyone enjoyed the special treat and has a blessed day as well as staying safe.

Benavides is an eighth grade student at William Adams Middle School. She’s first chair Symphonic flute player, WAMS cheerleader, upcoming Alice High School Strutter 2020-2021, and Junior Miss Alice Runner Up 2019. She is the proud daughter of Silvano and Stephanie Pruneda.
