Several Schallert Elementary second grade students visited H-E-B Friday for a special preview reading of a new book the store will be selling called The Nuff.

Tiffany Phenix with the Black History Delegation read the story to the students. Students asked questions, colored pictures and wrote their names on a banner for the book’s promotion.

The Nuff was written by Veronica Waldrop and illustrated by Cat Elliott.

During Waldrop’s two year battle with breast cancer, she wrote a book for her daughters, Natalia and Nina, in the hopes to inspire them after she was gone. Waldrop passed away in November of 2017.

The book is to empower every daughter and remind them of the bold and confident person they were created to be.

The Nuff will be sold at H-E-B in Alice. For more information about the book visit thenuff.com.
