In one day, Jim Wells County Sheriff Deputies arrested two wanted women and a man for drugs.


Cocaine seized, no arrest


On Tuesday, Jan. 7, Esiquio Juarez was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of Carmen Street and Beam Station Road. Deputies made contact with Juarez during the stop for a defective license plate light. The roadside interview led to the arrest of Juarez for 0.7 grams of cocaine. Juarez was taken to the hospital for medical attention. He will be arrested at a later date.


Two women were also arrested Tuesday. Jennifer Chavarria and Elizabeth Lopez. The ladies were arrested in separate incidents.


Chavarria was arrested at her apartment on the 100 block of South Stadium for an outstanding warrant on a bond surrender. She was taken to the jail.


Lopez also had an outstanding warrant. She was found at the Sagewood Apartments also on a bond surrender warrant. She was transported to the jail.
