Students from the Wesley Foundation at Texas A&M University in College Station are taking action in the area, with their winter project.

The Wesley Foundation at Texas A&M University is an extension of the United Methodist Student Center, located at the Blinn College Campuses and Bryan-College station area.

Their goal is to serve as an extension of the church as a whole and help others in need.

Students separated into three groups on Monday, Jan. 4, to start their winter project. The project included giving assistance to a family in Ben Bolt, a widow in Alice and at the United Methodist Church in Alice.

The Perez family was excited to receive their new ramp for their family in Ben Bolt, Hannah Tidall, project manager. In Alice, the group was helping Margarita Cantu paint her entire house and do some ceiling work in the bedroom and a group of students were busy painting at the United Methodist Church downtown.
