ORANGE GROVE - After several hours Orange Grove Police Chief Roy Guerrero received confirmation Thursday that Sylvia Mesa, was safe and sound, after a welfare concern prompted an investigation.

Mesa, whose in her 60’s, hadn’t been seen since Wednesday afternoon and her husband and sister were worried about her safety. They told police that Mesa left her cell phone and credit cards at home, and was last seen around 5 p.m. Wednesday putting gas at a local store, according to Orange Grove Police Chief Roy Guerrero.

Police never suspected foul play. According to Chief Guerrero, the case was just a welfare concern by the husband and Mesa’s sister.
