The 20th annual Tejano Roots Hall of Fame celebration will be adding 79 names to its list on Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Jim Wells County Fairground starting at 6 p.m.


The celebration kickoffs with a dance on Friday, Jan. 3 at the KC Hall, 1050 Cecilia Street. Cover charge for the dance is $10 per person. Doors open at 7 p.m.


Live entertainment is scheduled for both days of the celebration. Los 2G’s Ruben y Hector, The Art Tigerina Band and Ruben Vela Jr. y Su Conjunto are some of the bands scheduled to perform.


Inductees are put into different categories and are chosen by the board. This year’s, inductees are:
