SAN DIEGO - For three years, the Duval County Historical Museum held their Dia De Los Muertos festival. On Tuesday, Oct. 29, the community visited the museum as they celebrated their ancestors.
Dia De Los Muertos also known as The Day of the Dead. It is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and by people of Mexican heritage.
The holiday is focused on the remembrance of family and friends who have passed. Family and friends of the deceased pray for loved ones. They also make an alter where pictures of their loved ones are adorn along with food.
The museum had plenty of snacks and activities such as a costume contest and face painting for everyone.
