Alice police detained a 14-year-old male juvenile Friday, Sept. 27 at the Alice Coyote Stadium for criminal trespass with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest, according to Alice Police Chief Aniceto "Cheto" Perez.
The incident occurred during the third quarter of the Alice Coyote Homecoming game. According to the police report, the juvenile attempted to get into the football game, but was stopped by school security. School security guards attempted to detain him from entering the football stadium, but he resisted.
Alice police were called to assist.
During the detention of the juvenile, police found a switchblade in the pocket of his pants.
The juvenile was suspended from Alice High School Thursday, Perez said. As per Alice Independent School District policy, any student who is suspended from school can not attend any school related functions.
The juvenile was sent to a juvenile detention center.
