The Alice Youth Football League kicked off their season opener on Saturday Sept. 14th, 2019 at the Alice High School practice field. This youth football league has been around for 23 years, with this season being the biggest its ever been with over 40 teams.
Alice Mayor, Jolene B. Vanover, attended the kickoff and celebrated the season opener by tossing the first pass to football player, Wolf Flores.
The Alice Youth Football League has contributed towards the community and has brought together family, friends and neighbors from surrounding areas. Cooky Rosales, league president, has been running the league for 6 seasons, each season with new improvements and different goals. This season board members include: Toby Flores, Sergio Barajas, Leroy Garcia, Roger Revilla, Jon Tyrone, David Elizalde, and Henry Rojas. With the dedication of the board members, there is no doubt that the Alice Youth Football League will continue to expand and keep the love of football alive.
