The San Diego Vaqueros defeated the Corpus Christi West Oso Bears on Friday Sept. 13th, 2019. After a nail-biting Friday Night Lights, the final score was 28-14.

Romero Ramirez, took over the first touchdown for the Vaqueros, leading 6-0. The game was at a steady pace with no competition for the Vaqueros throughout the first and second quarter. It was not until after half-time that the Bears put up a competition that left the crowd jumping and cheering. The score elevated to 7-6 on the 3rd quarter, with the Bears being up 1 point. After a long 3rd quarter, West Oso, Cameron Williams, brings it home on a 58 yd run, putting the Bears up 14-6 with 2:56 remaining in the 3rd quarter. San Diego runs a touchdown on the 3rd quarter, having the score 14-12. The Vaqueros showed nothing but hustle and pure competition in the 4th quarter. Vaqueros score with 4:53 remaining in the 4th quarter, adding a two point conversion, having the score go up for the Vaqueros 20-14. Although the Bears were playing tough defense, Vaquero, Nene Salinas, added an extra touchdown with a good PAT, having the 4th quarter final score of 28-14.
