What is the best advice you ever received? Who gave you the advice? The best advice I have ever received was from my grandmother. My grandma is a very wise person and something that she told me a long time ago that I will never forget is “caras meidas, pero corazon es no.” The english translation to that is essentially you can see a person on the outside, but you can't truly see their heart, and/or their true intentions. This has remained engraved into my mind because she is exactly right. People will like to say they have their best interest for you, but you can never truly see what is in their heart. It is nice to trust people to an extent, but don’t let them define who you are, and make sure that you are aware of situations before you go through with something. It’s okay to be cautious, and remember that the person who has the best interest for you is yourself.

Where do you see yourself in five years? I would by that time already have liked to publish a few books since my main goal is to be an author. If being an author does not work out, then I will more than likely be continuing my education in the medical field.

If you could invite three people to dinner (other than relatives) who would they be and why? The first person I would invite to dinner would be Stephen King. I have been reading his books for years and each one is always so fantastic. His writing skills are superb, and he is at a level at which I aspire to be one day. To be able to be in his presence and talk in depth about what thoughts and ideas provoked him to write such captivating novels would be an actual dream come true. The next person at the table would be Ellen Degeneres. I love her personality and how her motto is to “be kind to one another.” I feel as though I have the same values as her, and I would love to get to know her better over a nice meal. The last person that I would invite would have to be Oprah Winfrey. The reason being is because she seems like a strong, successful woman who has done a lot to make it to where she is now. Her work ethic and her demeanor are something of which I aspire to have. She is someone who inspires me which is why I would not think twice on inviting her to be a guest at a dinner.
