What was the best advice you ever received? Who gave you the advice? “Every decision you make, you make twice. Once for you and once for your sister.” It made me realize that my sister is watching the decisions I make. It is my responsibility to make the right decisions and be the role model that I want her to grow up seeing and to treat her right because it will be how she expects to be treated in the future when she is on her own. It taught me not only to be a role model for my sister, but also for my friends and others around me and I will always have it in the back of my mind.

Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years I see myself being enrolled in medical school, hopefully at the Texas A&M Health Science Center. Being in medical school is the most ideal spot I can see myself in because it means that I have decided to stick the path that I have currently set for myself. Hopefully I also see some personal growth, both mentally and financially, moving towards beginning my own professional career and establishing the foundation for a stable future for me and my family in this world.

If you could change anything about this world, what would it be and why? If I could change anything about the world it would be to get rid of the corruption that exists within our judicial and political systems, as well as huge corporations. It is no secret that corruption exists all over the world in almost every aspect of our governments and big corporations. At this rate there is not much we can do, the wealthy are unjustly favored by our judicial and political systems. They hold far too much power and influence within the current system for it to change. In theory, these systems were designed to serve the people and not to favor one group over another, but in reality, we see a far different outcome. Judges and politicians today are instead taking their personal interests into account when that should be the last thing on their mind, they should be serving everyone. Obviously, this is not the case for every judge and politician, but the fact that it happens at all is unjust.

If you could invite three people to dinner (other than relatives), who would they be and why? Kanye West. In spite of all the controversy constantly surrounding him, it is hard to disagree that Kanye West is still one of the most influential artists in his genre and has the best discography of any hip-hop artist of all time, in my opinion. He is not afraid to speak his mind even though he knows he will probably be publicly shamed, which is more than most people can do. He is without a doubt the person I would want to have dinner with the most. Jacques Webster (Travis Scott). I chose Travis Scott just because he has always been my favorite artist and is by far my favorite artist to see perform live. He brings a lot of energy and is just a great performer overall. I think it’s his use of autotune not as a way to hide imperfections in his voice, but as another instrument almost sets him apart from others that just use autotune to add another layer to their music is what makes me gravitate towards his music. He has also done a lot for Houston and Missouri City and seems like he is always trying to do what will benefit his people the most. Tyler Okonma (Tyler, the Creator). I just like Tyler, the Creator as a person and a musician. From his T.V. shows to his music projects he has been able to provide a lot of different forms of entertainment. He also just seems like the type of person that you would want to surround yourself with.
