Investigators arrested Rene Garcia III Thursday in connection with a theft that occurred near Ben Bolt.

According to investigators, a passing motorist observed a vehicle stuck in a field on Tuesday evening so he stopped to assist and decided to call the landowner the following morning.

That morning the motorist told the landowner about the incident and went to check on his property.

Through the investigation techniques from patrol to investigators the suspect was identified and a warrant was issued.

According to investigators, Garcia is a "professional thief" and was found with numerous keys on him. He is suspected to be part of a large burglary ring in the Orange Grove area.

During the interview process, Garcia admitted to stealing equipment and breaking it apart to sale as scrap metal.

Garcia was charged with theft and criminal trespass.
