ORANGE GROVE - After 36 years of service to the Orange Grove community especially the children, Dorian David has stepped down from the Orange Grove Independent School District board of trustees.
David's last meeting as a board member was on Monday, April 15. At the board meeting he was thanked by his fellow board members for his contribution to the district. He received a plaque from the board.
He was first elected to the board in May of 1983.
David and his wife Natalie, raised three daughters, all of whom attended and graduated from Orange Grove ISD. He has numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other kin who have attended Orange Grove schools as well.
The Orange Grove community, school board, and administration thanks him for his many years of service and for his leadership capacity, serving as board vice-president and president for most of his many terms in office.
David has also served his community on various boards to include the Orange Grove Co-op and Jim Wells County Fair Board.
