SAN DIEGO - Several fire departments participated in the South Central District Fire Fighters Association of State Fire Fighters and Fire Marshal Association training session.
On Saturday, April 6, firefighters were at the Bernanda Jaime Junior High for the district training hosted by the San Diego Fire Department.
"The purpose of the training was to train on any new laws passed by the legislature as well as getting some hands-on training on different scenarios," said San Diego Fire Chief Juan Soliz.
Firefighters reviewed the "Burning the House Down” scenario. The scenario teaches firefighters fire behavior and dynamics which can help in the event of an actual house fire.
Firefighters from Freer, Mathis, Sinton, San Diego, Ingleside, Orange Grove, Falfurrias and the Nueces County ESD3 attended the event.
