FREER - For the second year in a row, Eric Massey won the Rotary 4-way speech contest.

On Thursday, Massey, a senior at Freer High School, and Raschel Lerma, a junior at Freer HS, participated in the yearly speech contest. Both students spoke on bullying. They described the cause and effects on society as a result of this major issue.

Massey won a $500 scholarship and will compete at the area speech contest. The area contest will be held at the Freer Fire Department of April 7 in Freer. Massey will compete against other students for another scholarship and a chance to compete at the district competition.
