An off-duty firefighter was traveling on North King Street early Thursday morning when he discovered a young man's body hanging from the old railroad bridge near the intersection of North King Street and Easterling Avenue.

Police said the firefighter immediately called 9-1-1.

According to Police Chief Aniceto Perez, 20-year-old Luis Trigo III was pronounced dead at the scene and family was notified.

Alice firefighters and police were able to get Trigo's body down. Police combed the area for any evidence, but foul play was ruled out.
