Alice Independent School District will install several 4x8 metal signs along Front Street as the district helps beautify the city and showcases the different campuses in the district.

"We will be able to put the signage out all along (Front Street). We have a bunch of plots out there that the city is letting us use," said AISD Superintendent Dr. Carl Scarbrough during Monday's school board meeting.

Dr. Scarbrough displayed two of the signs that will occupy at least 12 plots along one of the main roads through Alice.

"We are very proud of our district and we want to show it off to everybody that drives through and actually stays in Alice," Scarbrough said.

The district is waiting for the city to do some maintenance near the plots before they are installed.
