SAN DIEGO - San Diego High School One-Act Play students earned awards and have advanced to the Bi-District competition.

The students performed "The Book of Everything" on March 5 at area competition.

The play is based on a book about a family of four whose father is strict and abusive. The nine-year-old boy can see things other people cannot. He writes everything about his life in a dairy. At the end of the play, the family forgives the father for his harsh ways.

At area competition, four students received awards for the acting skills.

Lauryn Luna received all-star tech, Heather Hernandez received honorable mention all-star cast, and Andres RUiz and Alejandro Alvarado received the all-star cast.

Bi-District competition is on March 23 at Falfurrias ISD. Two other schools who advanced to the Bi-District competition are Falfurrias and Bishop ISD.
