A combined cast comprised of William Adams Middle School and Alice High School students presented Aladdin Jr. on Thursday and Friday nights. The show, which has been in production since this fall, is based off of the Broadway play and varied slightly from the Disney movie made famous in the early 90s. The production was true to its musical roots and featured many of the familiar songs audience members knew.

The production was a first with the cast comprised of a mix of students from the two Alice Independent School District campuses. Both Lino Placencio, theatre arts teacher at WAMS, and Darleen Totten, AHS theatre teacher, remarked at the beginning of the show what a great time and what a good learning experience this show was.

Aladdin Jr. was also presented to local elementary schools in pre-production and gave young students a chance to see the theatre department in a new light.
