On Wednesday morning, several United States Veterans gathered at Mi Ranchito restaurant for a Veterans Day breakfast.

The breakfast was sponsored by Alice Dental Associates Dr. Roel Garza, Dr. Jessica Garcia and Dr. Randy Prukop. Veterans were served a hot breakfast of their choice as they shared stories of their lives during and after their service.

Other Veterans Day event in the area will be held throughout the following days. Events include:

Friday, Nov. 9 - Dubose Intermediate School is hosting a Veterans breakfast and ceremony at 8:30 a.m. The campus is located on 1000 Cameron Street. Friday, Nov. 9 - Orange Grove Independent School District will have a ceremony for veterans at the high school stadium from 9 a.m. till 9:40 a.m. with a reception to follow. Friday, Nov. 9 - Noonan Elementary will have lunch and a ceremony to honor veterans starting at 11:30 a.m. The school is located at 701 West Third Street. For more information call the school at 361-664-7591. Saturday, Nov. 10 - America's Last Patrol located near Benavides at 1 p.m. for a Veterans Day ceremony. The ceremony will honored several soldiers and their families with a brick inscribed with their name and military information. Food will also be provided. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Freer. Sunday, Nov. 11 - Veterans are invited to a dinner and ceremony in their honor at the Freer Civic Center in Freer. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 - The 4th annual Veterans Breakfast sponsored by the Gutierrez Law Firm will be held at El Jalisiense located at 1915 East Main Street. The event will be from 8 a.m. till 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12 - William Adams Middle School will host a Veterans Day breakfast at 8:30 a.m. The school is located at 901 East Third Street.
