CORPUS CHRISTI — Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Nadia Ramos that occurred on Friday, Sept. 7 in Corpus Christi.

Heriberto Segura, 21, was arrested by Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and 34-year-old Javier Lopez was arrested by the Borger Police Department and the Borger Sheriff's Department in Borger, Texas, a 10-hour drive North of Alice.

Ramos was shot at the intersection of Holly Road and Highway 286. She was transported to CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline Hospital where she died from her injuries, according to police.

Segura was booked into the JWC jail. He was charged with murder and five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon warrants. His bond is set at a total of $1.5 million.

Lopez arrested on a murder warrant and five additional aggravated assault charges.

Police are still investigating the case.
