Jim Wells County Narcotics Investigators seized 252 grams of synthetic marijuana and a bag of Xanax pills during a narcotics search on Saturday.

According to officials, two men were detained during a raid that was conducted at a residence on the 1400 block of County Road 465. Other agencies assisting in the raid were Alice Police Department and the Brooks County Narcotics Divisions.

Robert Lopez and another individual had been stopped by officers as they left the residence. They were found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana.

They were immediately detained as the residence was searched.

During the search investigators discovered 18 bags of synthetic marijuana along with approximately 30 Xanax pills.

Lopez took ownership of the narcotics.

He was charged with two counts of manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance. He was transported to the JWC jail.
