In order to solve criminal cases law enforcement agencies must work together especially when trying to make an arrest in different counties.

Investigators at the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office received a call from investigators at the Webb County Sheriff's Office for assistance in the arrest Guillermo Cavazos Jr.

The 28-year-old was wanted for an aggravated robbery that occurred in Laredo at an 8-liner establishment on Mother's Day, according to investigators.

A routine traffic stop on Monday led to Cavazos' arrest for no driver's license and possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor charges.

During the roadside interview investigators learned that one of Cavazos' passengers was an undocumented immigrant, according to investigators.

US Border Patrol was called to take custody of the undocumented immigrant.

Cavazos, a known gang member, was transported to the JWC jail and made bond on the misdemeanor charges. He was taken to the Webb County jail on the aggravated robbery charge. The aggravated robbery charge has a $100,000 bond.
