Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision Friday on Highway 141 near the intersection of north Highway 281.
According to Sgt. Nathaniel Brandley with the Department of Public Safety,the driver of a black Ford F150 was traveling eastbound when the left front tire had a blowout.
The blowout caused the driver to stray into the westbound lane.
An armored vehicle was traveling in the westbound lane. The driver of the armored vehicle attempted to avoid the pickup, but still collided with the pickup head-on, Brandley stated.
Both drivers were pinned in their vehicles. The pickup spun around and came to a rest on the westbound lane facing east. The armored vehicle was tossed over into the grassy area.
The 82-year-old man driving the black pickup was transported to a Corpus Christi via Halo Flight. He had injuries to his head.
The 37-year-old man driving the armored truck was taken to the Kingsville hospital with a broke leg.
Troopers are still investigating the crash.
