The 22nd annual Carpenter's Ball Friday benefitted the St. Joseph School's Guardian Angel Program

This year the featured highlight of the entertainment was Marcos Orozco.

St. Joseph Church and school are named for the foster father of Jesus, who was a carpenter and reflects the school's patron saint.

The Guardian Angel Program is a tuition assistance fund established to help St. Joseph School fill the gap between the tuition paid by families and the operating cost of the school.

All of the students who attend St. Joseph School benefit from the Guardian Angel Program, since no one pays the actual $400 per month per child.

The program is also funded through the church's second collection each third Sunday of the month as well as proceeds from the Loteria each Tuesday and Friday, the Corpus Christi Diocese and from the Kenedy Foundation and individual donations.
