Name: Alyssa Ramon

Parents: Rex and JoAnn Ramon

Educational/Future Plans: Currently, my plans are to either attend Texas A&M at College Station, or the University of Texas at San Antonio, and obtain my Bachelors of Science in nursing.

Clubs and Officer Positions: I am the Vice President of our senior class, TAFE, and Skills USA. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, and a PAL/Teacher Assistant (2 years). I have been on the Southern Pride Strutters dance team for 2 years, and a varsity swimmer for 4 years.

Accomplishments/Honors: I have dedicated each summer to the Alice Swim Team since the age of 5, dancer at Amy’s School of Dance, three-year regional qualifier for the swim team at the high school, two-year fighting heart award recipient for varsity swim, received a purple cord for being an altar server for 10 years for St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, am CPR certified and have been a lifeguard for 2 years, and was Junior Class president 2016-2017. What was the best advice you've ever received? Who gave you the advice? “Bitterness keeps you from flying. Always stay humble and kind.” This comes from the song Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw, and is my dad’s favorite song. I can't help but to always keep this in mind.

Where do you see yourself in five years? In five years, I see myself graduated and with a degree, working hard, and giving back to my family.

If you could change anything about this world, what would it be and why? If I could change anything about this world, I'd change the high percentage of animal homelessness, because animals are utterly defenseless compared to humans, and all deserve a loving home. Animals can feel pain just as much as you can.

If you could invite 3 people to dinner, who would they be and why? First, I'd invite Jesus Christ, because I would like to thank him for everything, and hear everything he has to say. Next, I would invite Kim Kardashian West, because she is my favorite celebrity figure. Lastly, I would invite my mother. I know I could invite anyone in the world, but my mom is my biggest hero.
