SAN DIEGO - Rotary District 5930 Governor Betty Ramirez-Lara was in San Diego to personally induct three women into the international organization.
Melissa Cantu Trevino, Sally Lichtenberger and Shelly Gaitan Ochoa into the Rotary Club of San Diego. Each woman was presented with a pin and a Rotary packet. The women were also assigned service projects as part of their induction.
Trevino has undertaken a International Service Project, Lichtenberger will head the Social Events for the club and community, Ochoa will is the program director.
The women had important careers in the community.
During the meeting, Adam Lara, Rotary International District Trainer, spoke about the importance of Rotary, training and the service to the community. He elaborated on how the club do benefit from grants provided by Rotary International.
