Approximately $1,500, 33 grams of cocaine and 20 Hydrocodone pills were confiscated from a home on the 900 block of North King Street.
On Wednesday night, the residence of Jose Francisco Arredondo, 30, was under surveillance when agents observed him leave the residence. A traffic stop was immediately conducted.
During the stop, agents observed Arredondo attempt to conceal a bag of cocaine on his person. Arredondo was arrested after agents seized six bags of cocaine.
Arredondo told the agents that he had more cocaine at his residence, according to Lt. Luis Barrera with the Alice Police Department.
With a warrant in hand, the Alice Police Department's Narcotic Division and SWAT team with the assistance of the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Department raided the home. Two juveniles were in the residence. A search of the residence led agents to the cash, cocaine and pills.
"Alice Police Department's Narcotic Team will continue to work through the holidays regardless of the weather to make our community safe from drug dealers who are harming our community," Barrera said.
Arredondo was transported to the Jim Wells County jail. He was charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, and a possession of a controlled substance.
As of Thursday, Arredondo remained in jail with a total bond of $12,500.
