The Alice Safety Brigade visited Alice ISD schools Monday for the start of Fire Prevention Week. One stop was with the students at Schallert Elementary.

The Alice Fire Department's Safety Brigade is made up of  Tiny, Squirt, Capi and Tower.

With their faces painted and dressed in their clown attire the Alice Safety Brigade preformed a skit to show the students the importance of staying away from fires, not playing with matches and to remind their parents to check their smoke detectors.

Alice Fire Marshal Patrick Thomas and the safety brigade not only focused on fire safety but life saving skills students need.

The presentation was on the do's and don'ts of fire as well as pedestrian safety. Another key issue the firefighters touched on was the use of electronics.
