President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump arrived Tuesday at the Corpus Christi International Airport on Air-Force One with an entourage of people at 11:20 a.m.
He was immediately transported in motorcade with a convoy of CC police units to the Annaville Fire Department where he met with officials from our area.
From reports, he was briefed by Coast Guard officials on Hurricane Harvey's aftermath destruction and the Coastal Bend's plan to recover.
Some of the local officials who met with the president included State Reps Abel Herrero and Todd Hunter along with State Sen. Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa.
Trump was sporting a white USA cap in casual wear.
Secret service and snipers along with SWAT team were situated around the Annaville area for Trump's visit as hundreds of people lined up the streets to get a glimpse of the president.
He was not scheduled to visit Rockport or Aransas Pass, where the brunt of the disaster happened so not to get in the way of rescues.
After a brief meeting, the president was whisked back to the airport and left the CC Airport by 1:20 p.m. He headed to Austin to meet with other Texas officials and get a briefing on the Houston floods.
