Twenty-nine-year-old Sarah Resendez was booked into the Jim Wells County jail Friday. She was charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and two counts of child endangerment.

JWC Sheriff's Criminal Investigation Division and Narcotics Division with the assistance of JWC Adult Probation conducted a narcotic investigation at a residence on the 1400 block of San Jose.

When deputies entered the home they found Resendez, her husband and two children. 

A search of the residence located 216 grams of synthetic marijuana, 1.4 ounces of marijuana, a handgun, a digital scale and drug paraphernalia.

The case is under investigation and further arrests are pending, according to Lt. Ernie Rivera.

Rivera encourages the public to continue to report any and all suspicious activity. They are following up on all leads and are using every resources available to help them solve cases.

Child Protective Services were notified.
