During the last weekend in July, the St. Joseph Catholic Church and other Catholic around the world celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Fatima apparitions.

According to ourladyoffatima.org, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, appeared six times to three shepherd children between May and October of 1917 in the little village of Fatima which had remained faithful to the Catholic Church during the government persecutions with a message from God to every person promising the whole world would have peace and that the souls of individuals who obey her requests would go to Heaven.

The 24-hour ceremony passed through the church and through the St. Joseph Catholic School. People in the procession waved as the Virgin Mary statue passed.
