Andres T. “Andy” Villarreal, age 67, passed away February 11, 2017 in Alice, Texas. He was born in Alice, Texas on February 25, 1949 to Jimmy Villarreal and Aurora Trevino Villarreal. Andy enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed outdoors, barbecuing, gathering with his friends to play games, and being with his family. He retired from Baker Oil Tools after working there for 35 years. Many knew Andy as a gentle, loving, kind hearted son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was the most patient man anyone could have ever met. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Aurora Villarreal; brothers in law, Ruben Vasquez, Adan Saenz, and Ramiro Saenz; sisters in law, Celestina Barbe and Dalia Perez.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nelda S. Villarreal of Alice, Texas; two daughters, Cynthia Ann Barrera and Lisa (Juan Jose) Charles both of Alice, Texas; one brother, Juan Jose (Melinda) Villarreal of Alice, Texas; two sisters, Sylvia (Mike) Saldivar and Lydia Vasquez both of Alice, Texas; half-sister, Alicia Villarreal of San Antonio, Texas; sisters in law, Blanca Garcia of Calallen, Texas, Melba Gonzalez of Rios, Texas; brothers in law, Ralph (Lina) Saenz of Alice, Texas and Robert Saenz of New Mexico; six grandchildren, Andrew Hawkins, Sarah Barrera, Liana Soliz, J.C. Charles, Elizabeth Charles, and John Charles; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his pet companion, Zoe.

Family will be receiving friends Thursday, February 16, 2017, beginning at 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. at Rosas Funeral Home Chapel with a Memorial Rosary being held at 7p.m. that evening.
