San Diego – Two wanted individuals were arrested Sunday by San Diego Police Officers.
The first individual arrested was 27-year-old Devina Ann Luera who was featured in the Duval County February Top 10 Most Wanted. Luera had a warrant for evading arrest detention with a vehicle.
According Police Chief Richard Nava, officers received an anonymous tip that Luera was at a residence on the 300 block of East Dix Street.
When officers arrived at the residence she led officers on a foot pursuit.
Luera was arrested and taken to the Duval County jail. She was charged with the warrant, evading arrest detention and resisting arrest.
Later SDPD officers discovered that 39-year-old Guadalupe Salinas was at a residence on the 300 block of West Luby. Salinas was wanted for assault causing bodily injury. When officer arrived Salinas fled the scene.
A car chase began.
Salinas was intoxicated and struck three parked vehicles as he fled from officers, according to Nava. Officers with the assistance of Jim Wells County deputies arrested Salinas on the 200 block of County Road 49.
He was booked into the Duval County jail and charged with the warrant, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and three counts of duty upon striking unattended vehicle.
