Freer – The Duval County Community Library held its grand opening on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Freer ISD Secondary Library.

Freer Independent School District, the City of Freer and Duval County entered into a partnership that will benefit all Freer citizens.

The historic partnership will provide Freer citizens technical resources. Everyone will have access to the library between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.

According to officials, the library will be available during summer, vacations, even on evenings and some weekends.

With the community library adults will have access to more resources such as the 20 computers and internet. The librarian will also be available to help.
