Premont – Premont police arrested Eloy Munoz for a string of burglaries that occurred in the city over a span of two months.

According to Interim Police Chief Fernando Garcia, Munoz broke into at least seven places including a church and stole several thousands of dollars on items in the two months.

The 21-year-old was recently arrested when Officer Marcela Scott observed a receipt near an IPhone box at the last residence hit, Garcia stated.

Scott investigated the case that led Munoz’s arrest.

Officers were able to recover stolen property including three televisions, IPhones’, gaming systems and household items.

Munoz was transported to the Jim Wells County jail. He was charged with burglary of a building and theft of property.

He has a bond totaled at $10,500.

Officers are still recovering stolen property.
