Ernest Bierman retired from the post office in Eugene, Oregon on Nov. 4, after working for the post office for 51 years. He recently visited with fellow Vietnam Veteran, Roberto Juarez in Alice.
Juarez retired as postmaster for the Orange Grove Post Office in 2001 after working for 32 years. Both men visited and were given a tour of the Orange Grove Post Office by current Postmaster Sylvia Garza, who has been with the Postal Service for 22 years.
The first US Postmaster General Benjamin Franklin, would have been proud to know that between Ernest Bierman, Roberto Juarez and Sylvia Garza have over 105 accumulated years of service.
