Alice police officers and Jim Wells County sheriff deputies arrested two 15-year-old boys on Saturday for burglary of a vehicle.
According to police, the juveniles stole a black bag that contained a camera, several camera lenses and a battery from a red pick up that sat in the driveway on the 100 block of Carla Cove.
The owner of the stolen items told police he left the items in his truck overnight so the battery could charge. When he went to retrieve his items Saturday morning he noticed the items were gone.
According to the police, the homeowner's surveillance cameras caught one of the juveniles breaking into his vehicle and than flagged the other boy who was in a gray car down the street.
The homeowner posted a photo of the juvenile in his vehicle on Facebook. A family member of the juvenile in the truck recognized him on the social media post.
The boys were arrested on the 100 block of Farm-to-Market 2044. They were transported to the San Patricio Juvenile Detention Center.
