In a span of approximately 45 minutes police were called out to four separate accident scenes on Highway 281.
The first accident involved an 18-wheeler on North Highway 281 near Farm-to-Market 2044.
Minutes after, two white trucks collided at a turnaround on South Highway 281 near County Road 448. The third was a single vehicle accident on South Highway 281 near County Road 441.
The last accident involved another 18-wheeler also near County Road 441.
Department of Public Safety troopers and Jim Wells County deputies are investigating the accidents.
Weather and speed were factors in all four accidents, police officials said.
No major injuries were reported.
