The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District will offer the Quit Smoking Classes in Spanish beginning May 17-June 7, 2016 every Tuesday 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 1702 Horne Road.
If you are Spanish speaking and you want to quit smoking and need support this class is for you. Classes are Free and educational. This is a 4 part, 1 hour class series that lasts 4 weeks.
Dr. William Burgin, Jr., Local Health Authority, states: “The Health District would like to remove this language barrier for residents who want to quit smoking and improve the quality of their life.
All class participants should register for the class by calling 826-7267 to reserve their spot.
The class curriculum is based on the American Cancer Society’s Fresh Start Program. Noelia Rodriguez, Health Education Specialist and Luz Saenz, Program Coordinator will serve as facilitators for the classes.
The program is made possible through the Texas Healthy Communities Program.
