San Diego – As summer approaches the San Diego Little League has started to prepare the baseball field for kids to storm the field with the help of the Duval County Sheriff's Office, Duval County Commissioners, the State Glossbrenner Unit and Salinas Tree Trimming crews.

“We need to give these kids something to do in the summer,” said Little League President Javier Salinas. “With the community and the little league board members help we have replaced bleachers, roofing as well as cutting the grass.”

According to Salinas, opening ceremonies are scheduled for April 16 with the hopes of starting games right away.
