The Alice Independent School District is accepting nominations for the annual Alice Alumni Award.

The award was established over 20 years ago for the purpose of recognizing an Alice High School graduate who has reached extraordinary career success and demonstrated exceptional leadership and service to their community. Alice ISD hopes to inspire current students to strive for both personal and professional success.

The winner will be recognized at an AISD Board of Trustees meeting and the AISD Employee Appreciation Dinner scheduled for May 19, 2016. The winner will receive two plaques; one will be displayed at Alice High School and the other is for the winner to keep.

Nomination forms may be obtained from Alice Public Library, Chamber of Commerce, Wells Fargo Bank, Texas Champion Bank, First Community Bank, Prosperity Bank, IBC Bank, Plains Capital Bank or the AISD campuses including Administration Building. Nominations must be in writing and must indicate the career of the individual since their high school graduation. Nominations can be made by anyone and the public is encouraged to submit the name of any graduate they feel is deserving of this recognition. The deadline to submit a nominee is Friday, March 11th and must be turned in to Dr. Grace Everett, Superintendent, at AISD Administration Building.
