Driving too slow leads to arrest for possession

Police stopped a driver Tuesday behind high school for driving too slow on 1 Coyote Trail's parking lot.

Police smelled strong odor of either marijuana or synthetic marijuana. David Villagran was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance under 2 ounces. 

As police searched the car, they found leafy substance on his shirt. Villagran admitted to smoking marijuana at the cemetery and also synthetic marijuana.

He was taken into custody and transported to county jail. The female passenger, who was intoxicated, was taken in for Public Intoxication.

The vehicle was impounded.

Teen becomes combative over iphone

A mother calls police after her son is abusive to her because she wouldn't purchase an iphone for him. 

When police arrive, 17-year-old Edward Acero continues to be verbally aggressive towards his mother and then also to police.

As police were making his arrest, Acero tried to resist. Once inside the police unit, he banged his head against the partition. He continued at the jail and kicked a public servant as they were putting him on the restraint chair.

He was charged with assault, resisting arrest and simple assault. 

Showing me the money 

Police were dispatched to an assault in progress on the corner of Aransas and Main streets on Wednesday just after midnight.

Manuel Mansilla was arrested and charged with Assault Bodily Injury/Family Violence. During booking process at police station, Mansilla became combative and uncooperative.

He is accused of scratching his wife on her hand and neck while retrieving money from her.
