The Alice Rotary Club shared a special luncheon for Habitat for Humanity volunteers on Friday, Jan. 22 at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Alice.

Volunteers from approximately 10 states including Wisconsin and Vermont have been in the area working on a the Habitat for Humanity's 14 home in Ben Bolt.

A chicken meal with sides and desserts were a hearty meal for the hard workers.

“Many of the volunteers come down year after year to help build homes in the area,” said Rotary Club member Roger Hoffman. “This is a small token of appreciation for all their hard work.”

After the lunch hour was completed the works traveled back to Ben Bolt to continue construction on the home.
