Jim Wells County investigators located approximately 26 grams of cocaine and recovered stolen property on Friday, Jan. 22.
On Jan. 22 deputies received information that a wanted person, Ashley Navarro, was seen in Orange Grove. According to investigators, Navarro was suspected of having information on a stolen motorcycle that went missing from a JWC residence.
Investigators called Orange Grove Police Department and Constable from JWC Precinct 5 whose officers arrived at a hotel on the 500 block of East Orange Avenue and located Navarro.
When JWC investigators arrived they arrested Navarro on the warrant and detained Ramon Altamirano Sr., said Deputy Lucas Thompson with the Criminal Investigation Division.
The couple had been staying at the hotel and gave consent to a search.
According to officials, investigators found approximately 26 grams of cocaine inside the room.
The couple was transported to the JWC jail.
At the jail, Navarro told officials she knew where the stolen motorcycle was. Officers with the assistance of Corpus Christi Police Department located the motorcycle in a storage facility in Calallen.
Navarro was charged with the warrant and possession of a controlled substance. Her total bond was set at $11,500.
Altamirano was charged with possession of a controlled substance and set with a bond of $5,000.
The couple was released on Saturday, Jan. 23.
